Speaking of Carrie Bradshaw . . .

Alright, I couldn’t help myself. Now that the inevitable Sex and the City movie release climbs closer and closer, I can’t hardly watch anything without seeing the preview a billion times. I can’t say I’ve been a frequenter of the show, but it’s a much-known fact that “Carrie Bradshaw” has become somewhat of a fashion icon. And, even though I’m not sure I’d ever wear anything she does, I think her creativity is contagious and fascinating. C’mon, I know you love her, admit it. Stop shaking your head.

OK, let’s review. Here are a few of my favorites of her outfits from the show, that I just might actually wear. Truthfully, I think my tastes run more in line with other characters from the show, but Carrie’s courageous fashion feats are more fun to consider, rather than stuffy Charlotte or classic Miranda.

One place I love to go to look at Carrie-like risk-taking outfits is Instyle magazine online. Especially a section called instant style. Their editors have put together a bunch of different trendy outfits you can look through, complete with accessories. And there is even a function that allows you to flip through different earrings and shoes, if you don’t like the ones they’ve picked with a particular outfit. It’s like playing paper dolls! Except . . . in a grown-up, sophisticated, New-York kind of way. (Right! That’s what I tell myself.) Check it out here.

If you can’t get enough of Carrie, check out all her looks from the show, and the other ladies, here. Happy browsing!

I agree. If I had money to blow, I would be imitating Carrie Bradshaw's closet. Except mine would be better, of course.
